Using cpShop - Filters page 1

Filters are truly the key to customizing and correctly displaying your cpShop.

Understanding how they work and what they are capible of doing will greatly increase your success in creating a shop the way you'd like it.

First, scroll down to the area titled STORE IDS
When you expand this option set, you should see something like this...

These are the wildcards:

Wildcards allow you to set master filter options that you might want to use across a lot of different filters. Your store can work perfectly fine without using the wildcards. So for now, we'll focus on the individual filters.

This is an individual filter with associated options:

Each filter allows you to set display options specific to certain criteria.

You may not duplicate filter NAMES nor aliases.

When you first log into the admin, you will see some default filter options:

For the sake of learning.... change the above to look like this below:

Save your changes:

Now reload your store main page, it should appear similar to this:

Please note, depending on your connection and the size of the shop you are trying to load, the intial store display time will vary. -- Files are cache and the load decreases greatly.
