Now let's cover using wildcards with your filters. Wildcards are a way to pre-declare filter options you'd like to use multiple times throughout your filter settings without having to make multiple changes if you want to change a single portion of the main filter. A common use for wildcards are storeids. See below.
Save your changes. Reload your storefront. It should appear something like this... note: no menu display but all top level sections from each store will display.
Now let's change the filters slightly. Add .all (dot all) to the end of each storeid in the wildcard settings. This will allow us to filter by product type for all sections within each store... not just the top level of each store. Then
add cpfilter_type:0 to the filter line so all our stores are narrowed
down to only
Save
your changes: Reload your storefront. It should appear something like this... note: still no menu display because we only have one filter set. Also, mugs are displayed rather than section thumbnails because we narrowed the view to only mugs.
